This Is What We Do

You have heard about who we are, as well as some general things we do as part of the Technology Support Internship, but the specifics have been a little scarce so far. It is hard to pin down exactly what each of us do because we all do different things, at different times. I (Brennan), have been getting a new shipment of Chromebooks out of their boxes and enrolling them so they are managed by the school. I, along with Jack and Abe, have also been making tutorial videos on using Google Drive and G-mail, so students can fully use and appreciate the awesomeness of the Chromebooks! Jack and Abe have been truly amazing and have done so much that I'm not sure I can get it all down in one post! They have made tons of helpful tutorial videos, along with posters that share everything about Chromebooks that you could ever need to know. Without them this whole project would be nothing, so I would like to personally thank them for all of their hard work.
(-This is a picture of me with the newest shipment of Chromebooks.)

We also did a lot of work this summer as paid employees of the district (which was really fun). Our job was to help rewire the school so the addition of having all the Chromebooks would be supported by the WiFi. Even though the job was to wire, we also had to do a lot of removal of the old infrastructure. All the old cable that was being replaced had to be taken out. This sounded easy at first, but actually took quite awhile because the wires could be difficult to track down. I definitely had a great time! I would have to say my favorite part of the whole experience was when we were wiring and we would hit an air duct.  It was kind of a pain sometimes, but when you nailed it right over the duct it was the best feeling in the world. I hope you guys liked hearing about what we do! Stay tuned for more!
